“Horses & Bayonets”; A Most Beautiful Moment

The most beautiful moment of the 3rd presidential debate was when President Obama educated Mitt Romney about the modern US Navy. If you look close, you can watch Romney’s jaw steadily tighten and his lip grin stretch thinner and thinner throughout the President’s lecture. Overall, the takeaway of this scene is Mr. Romney’s misunderstanding that the US Navy is not a game of boys pushing their toy ships around a map of the world, it’s about the reality of the modern military, the men and women serving within in it and the global responsibilities one takes on as commander-in-chief?

Obama’s Debate To Do List

Given the President’s disappointing performance during the first presidential debate and Mitt Romney’s approval bounce, it is quite clear that Obama needs to regain his focus. He needs to locate the master debater we witnessed in the 2008 campaign. But what is also clear is the President has to both challenge Romney on the multitude of his false claims and call him out over the Republican candidate’s continual flip-flopping.

The much anticipated, long pundit-ted first presidential debate of the 2012 election season finally broke over us all, energizing some and surprising others. The big 3 cable networks’ analysts set to work immediately after scoring the performance of both candidates. So who did win?
